We’re excited to launch our new website and a short video series focusing on the museum and its vast collection of rail memorabilia celebrating the history of railway in Ireland. The new videos and website were created in collaboration with Scéal Heritage Consultancy, and were kindly supported by an Audience Engagement Grant by the Department of Culture, Heritage, and the Gaeltacht. Three newly produced videos provide our online visitors with mini ‘virtual tours’ guided by Sean Browne, the museum curator. These tours offer an introduction to the unique and fascinating museum collection. Our museum’s new website also provides lots of information and photos of many of the highlights of the collection, giving a taster of what can be experienced in a physical visit to the museum. We hope that the new videos will provide information and entertainment to people during the Covid restrictions, and that they will encourage people to come and visit the museum in person in the future! more videos
